Behind the work

I am a biostatistician with over 18 years hands-on experience in the design, analysis and reporting of biomedical research studies across a wide range of medical fields and experimental models. I believe strongly in a partnering approach between data scientists and medical researchers in order to ensure that the data generated and the resulting analyses are fit for purpose, relevant and actionable.

My career spans across over a decade in academic research and 6+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, where I've enjoyed bringing statistical expertise to collaborations with dozens of research groups working with pre-clinical and clinical data in hematology, immunology, cardiology, oncology, gynecology, genomics and many other areas.

As a biostatistician, I have supported and co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications. I place a high value on methodological flexibility and draw from a range of parametric, nonparametric and Bayesian techniques for statistical modelling, testing, prediction and study planning. In any given application there are many ways that - statistically speaking - lead to Rome. Use the right tool for the job!
